Doing A Body Cleanse Detox For A Healthier Lifestyle

POST BY : Bob B Taylor |

Cleansing of the body, inside and out, can be traced back to ancient times in most Asian countries. The Chinese have integrated the practices of fasting and detoxification into their religious beliefs, making it traditional for people to participate in the health rituals. With Asia having such freezing winters over the continent, it was made easy for people to gain weight while hibernating indoors. When winter ended, a body cleanse detox was undertaken to help regain physical fitness and good health for the harder working months.

Other countries such as India practiced fasting as a tradition, although they had a more philosophical approach to it’s practice. Made part of the Hindu and Buddhist rituals, cleansing the body was not enough. They also made it just as important to clear the mind of thought through meditation and become one with all things to assist the soul on it’s journey. Peace was found this way and the practice of purification took on the three fold spiritual meaning.

Fasting is used today for the purpose of losing weight and for other health reasons, although, the spiritual aspect is a choice for individuals to participate in or not. Some people may see meditation as not being necessary for the purpose of losing weight but fasting is still practiced by many people all over the world.

It is important to learn of the negative aspects if choosing a body cleanse program. Before a decision is made, a person should know about dehydration and how to avoid it. Other dysfunctions can occur with low levels of salts in the body. Extra vitamin supplements may be taken to assist the detox.

While the spiritual side of fasting may require a person to surrender to the peace and harmony of nature, the physical aspect needs only to be prepared for the detoxification process. Finding God or peace on earth can offer a man or woman the radiance of a saint but going through a period of fasting is a contrast in terms. People may tend to look a little haggard or pale. This can only be capitulated as part of the ongoing process of purification.

After the fasting process is over a person needs to come back to eating solids gently. Someone who has finished a fast should never go straight for the Donner Kebab shop and indulge in a huge meal. It is recommended to start eating solids slowly with the introduction of light meals.

A recommended diet consists of large amounts of fresh foods from the green grocers, a few cereals, nuts and grains, a little dairy and a small portion of the good edible oil. This has been taught in western countries since the last century and is still good advice today. Although, today’s problems have grown out of over indulgence in eating the wrong types of food the practice of including a cleansing diet into people’s life will aid longevity.

They say the most content people in life are healthy and happy and there is no evidence to say that religion or any spiritual discipline is the cause of contentment. However, it is demonstrated in the physical vigor of the people that use fasting and a body cleanse that it makes for a rejuvenated individual. A body cleanse might help you start fresh for living healthier.
